The University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture and Nature Park Biokovo are pleased to invite you to attend the III International Rupicapra Symposium that will take place on 21-23 April 2021, in Makarska on the Croatian coast of Dalmatia.

The Symposium aims at promoting the exchange of ideas among chamois experts, favouring the sharing of state-of-the-art knowledge on different chamois species and subspecies while promoting the research, conservation and the sustainable management of this mountain ungulate. The Symposium is open to researchers, experts, managers and to everybody interested in these species, and we aim to bridge the gap between science and practical implementation.

The two-days scientific programme will cover topics related to Genetics and Systematics, Physiology and Disease, Behaviour and Ecology as well as Management and Conservation. The conference encourages the participation of early career investigators and aims at inclusive collaboration with a good gender balance and wide geographical representation.

The meeting will be held at Aparthotel Miramare, that will also provide discounted accommodation for participants. The code and additional information will be provided at a later stage. For further information please follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, while we set up the Symposium webpage.

We look forward to welcoming you in Makarska! On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing committees,

Nikica Šprem & Luca Corlatti
